Interior was cozy. Staff were attentive, although waitstaff was short (many more cooks than waiters). Oysters in panko, chicken karaage, and gyoza were nice crunchy appetizers. Especially the oysters and chicken had good seasoning. We tried 3 rolls (California, Lynnwood, and salmon lover) all three were good, tad loosely packed, tasted very fresh. Hubby got spicy garlic ramen while I got the tonkotsu with chili added. Both were good although my tonkotsu tasted strongly of cumin which was not bad just different. Char siu was thickly cut while fairly tender. Soy egg was solidly cooked (I prefer a runny yolk).

Decided to treat myself to sushi for dinner last Friday night and ordered takeout. It was delicious and I was very happy with the rolls I picked. It was packaged up nicely and had plenty of wasabi. I will definitely order from here again.

The question on my local Facebook page was, "Where can I find a teppanyaki restaurant?" You know, the kind of place where the table has a large grill in the middle. The chef wheels out a cart with tools and ingredients and puts on a show while cooking your food. I loved teppanyaki when I was a kid so I jumped into the comments to see what was available. There were a couple of places in Lynnwood that I added to my "Places to try" file. One of them was Wild Wasabi. I hopped in the car and headed north, excited to see an onion volcano and have shrimp thrown in my mouth. Google Maps guided me to a sketchy looking former shopping area. It must have been quite the place at one time, because there was a huge parking lot for the few surviving businesses. I picked a spot close enough for convenience and far enough away to let me get a few steps in for the day. The front of the restaurant stands out from the decrepit closed places by being new and clean. The inside was also well maintained. There were a few tables by the windows and a neat sushi bar along the back wall. I looked around, but there was no teppanyaki grill in view. I was the victim of another Facebook lie. Dang! A woman wearing a skirt that was far too short came out to lead me to a table. Another woman wearing the other half of a proper length skirt poured me a cup of tea. It was a cold day and I hoped that the women had other clothes to wear when they went home after work. The menu was a few pages of quality graphics. It featured various sushi options, some teriyaki dishes, donburi and bento. I ordered a Spider Roll and the Kitchen Bento. The waitress brought me a salad and miso soup to enjoy while I waited for my meal. For those of you unfamiliar with sushi, there are no spiders in a Spider Roll. Instead, there is a fried softshell crab inside. The roll is cut so that the ends have the legs poking out, making it difficult to eat. I easily ignore the difficulty because they taste fantastic. Wild Wasabi's version is as good as any I have tried. I like bento boxes because you get a variety of things to try. The Kitchen Bento included gyoza, fried shrimp, tempura vegetables, rice and a choice of sushi and a protein. I picked the california roll and chicken katsu. Everything was tasty and I scarfed it up. I knew from the menu that the bill was going to be ridiculous. It did not disappoint. My lunch was $50. It was startlingly easy to tap my card on the little machine the waitress brought out. It was not at all easy to think about the hole in my bank account. At least it bought me enough food to keep me full for the rest of the day.

One of the best things here is their sushi menu: every roll has a clear picture, so you can instantly see what it looks like, not just read the ingredients. It’s super helpful and makes choosing so much easier. The sushi itself is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Generous portions, tender fish, and rolls that actually look like the photos — which is rare and honestly amazing. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly, and the whole experience is exactly what you want when you’re craving really good sushi. If you’re deciding where to go — choose this place. You’ll love it

Wild Wasabi was a great experience. Our server Ai-Mi was so sweet, attentive, and made great recommendations like the Restaurant Week Omakase for $50 & the Hamachi Carpaccio! Everything we ordered was fantastic and overwhelmingly tasty with umami flavors! Thank you Wild Wasabi! We will be returning every time we are in the area!

Food is amazing the best sushi I have ever had it's so fresh and smooth it still tastes great 3 days later. You can't go wrong with any tower. The only reason I gave them a 4 for atmosphere is because the store next door thinks the music should be loud like your at a club so you could hear the base through the wall and I was on the other side of the restaurant. It's not their fault but just thought people may want a heads up but the food is fabulous every time

I have come here at least 20 times over the last decade and their food is always fantastic, services always excellent and friendly, the atmosphere is good, and the prices are reasonable. They have plenty of parking as well. There is honestly no complaints you could make for such a wonderful sushi restaurant.
